10 Things About Me

1. My birthday is in 6 days. I'll be 17

2. I absolutely love english comp 101. It's my favorite course. I am aware that numbers under 100 are supposed to be spelled out.

3. I am a middle school dropout who is in college. Booyah. I got a 98 on my first evar ^college^ essay. BOOYAH.

4. 3 of my half-siblings won't talk to me because they are fighting with my Mom. It makes me sick to my stomach because they won't let their kids talk to me either. Today's my neice's birthday and I can't even say happy birthday even though I've been with her on every other birthday of her life and she is my best friend. I hate this.

5. I pray alot. So much in my head, about everything.

6. I dream about weird things lately. There's stuff that's broken around the apartment and I dream that I've fixed it so that when I go to use it the next day I'm surprised all over again about it being broken. Also I dream that I've fed my pets when I really haven't so I have to double check every day to make sure that I have indeed fed them.

7. I've got it baaaaaaad. I told him through Myspace but he has bronchitis it seems and hasn't been on in forever. I get really nervous if I think about it so I'm going to stop right now. What happens, happens.

8. I stay up all night no matter what. I could've been up allday and I still don't go to bed untill 5am when I have to be somewhere at 7am. It's so fucked up. I couldn't sleep right now if I wanted to though because I'm sick and ym head is throbbing.

9. My dog is my second best friend next to Erienne (my neice). She's more human than some of the humans I know. I get so sad because I know she's old and she's getting feeble. She's a little brown chihuahuah named Gigi. I got her when she was about 2. She was abused really horribly before I got her but you'd never know it now. I also get sad when I think of how short a rats life span is. They also get ill realy easy and it's so sad.

10. I have ADHD. My personality when I'm off my medicine is so different then when I'm on it. I prefer myself on meds because I'm more rational and less self-destructive. I get really weird when I'm off the meds and super anti-social. I also have alot of other (non mental) health problems so I have to got to different doctors a lot. Nothing to worry about or anything, just stuff that I have to keep in check.

I work out now, omg. I've lost like 25 pounds. B-O-O-Y-A-H.

Theres this one dude that is always at the gym at my apartment complex who DOESN'T LIVE IN THE APARTMENTS and he turned off The Wizord of Oz the other day on me so I called security on him. Other than not living there, he is creepy anyway. He kept makingoff-hand sexual comments to/around me after he knew that I was under 18. The things that he said were creeptastic no matter what my age is though.

My favorite food as of now is homeade tomato soup.

OMG MY ROOMATE IS A CHEF AND HE IS AMAAAAAAZING. He makes peanut butter coookies that are to die for. They are so fantastic I swear.

I love it when my teachers cuss. It's so hilarious seeing as I came from a middle school where the science teacher wasn't even allowed to say vagina. I LOVE COLLEGE!!!

My mouth gets on my roomate's nerves. He's so passive whenever I'm angry or excied about something.

K. So that's that. That was a fun bit of egomania I'm actually going to sleep now since it's past 5am. I don't have school tomorrow so I'll probably do the immature thing and sleep till noon, but I'm sick so it's allowed. Yayzzzzzzz.

I'm pretty sure that it's headlights from passing cars. Erienne and I like to play with long exposure time and headlights. Pretty colors.

Anywho, I made the wallpaper with the origiginal black backround so I can see my shortcuts, but I really like the inverted white backround, so I decided to try to make a header for my buzznet page since I've never done it before.

I like it, it looks s tiny bit distorted, but it's nice for my first time ever doing it, I think.

I've been up all night organizing files on my computer. *yawn*

Anywho. She had to pee so we had to go to the place next door, which happened to be a pet store.

So we're in there and I'm loving it becasue their small animals are extremely well taken care of, and they're letting me take pictures and everything. I was taking pictures of the baby ferrets, and I saw people gathered around the parakeet enclosure cooing and stuff, so I went over to check it out.

Apparently, an employee had purchased this little guy and was asking people if they wanted him. I guess the shop was going to off him for being disabled or something. and the employee didn't want that to happen. I had an extra rat cage, and toys and stuff, so of course I offered to take him. His name is Turkey. We mostly call him Turk.

I don't know anything about parakeets, so I've been reasearching online. I know that he's about 4 weeks old, he's a "budgie" and that his legs are "splayed"...which stems from being too weak to stand up straight when he was a baby. The bones are pliable when he's young and harden like that as he gets older. I will reasearch more to see if there's anything I can do to straighten his legs any more. He can perch though, so I don't think his legs are that terribly splayed, he doesn't seem handicapped by them, but they could be uncomfortable, IDK. In any case, he can't be in the cage with other birds becasue they bully him, which is why he looks terrible here.

He's a tiny little thing. I would say that he's about as big as the picture. He's been nipping at us but he likes to be held tight and having his head petted....it's cute.

Other than his legs, he looks completely healthy. I took him thinking that he was dying to be honest, he just looked so sick, bu he already lookes better, and he awlks on his legs and everything...so I'll keep watching him and let you know how it turns out.

Oh, and here's a pic of the baby ferrets I mentioned earlier.

The cute thing is that he stuck his tongue out after I took this and just slept like that for the whole time I was watching him.

I should have a 96 though because there was one error that the teacher missed. I showed it to him but I'm keeping he 98. haha.

It was an exemplification essay and I wrote it on keeping rats as pets. I totally didn't expect to get a good grade though because I wrote it at 5am the day I was supposed to turn it in. Now that I think of it, I should have whipped out my camera right there in class and taken a pic of it, but I didn't want everyone to know that I'm that crazy. We didn't get to keep the papers though. The school keeps them in case anyone has an enquiry about their grade or whatnot.

Anywho. I always wait untill the last minute to do everything. I seem to work better like that though. I don't know why, but as long as I keep getting good grades, I'll keep doing it, lol. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

It's a black Canon Powershot SD78. I went after the Canan D10, but NO ONE CARRIES IT. I went to Best Buy and they didn't have it. I purchased a 3 year accident warranty on this one though so if I drop it in the ocean while taking pictures at the beach, I'll just go ask for another one. e.e

Ummm. It has a super macro mode on it. I'll post a pic of an earring I took earlier...

This is the most manual-friendly compact camera I've ever seen. You can manually adjust everything. It has a simple aperature ajustment as well, which is the first time I've ever seen that in such a small camera.

The automatic mode is brilliant, though. The autofocus on it is better than on my entry-level dslr. It's super fast and it has higher and lower ISO settings thant my slr as well. (yeah, I've got a nikon d40, it sucks)

ANYWHO...

I love it. I would have loved to have the one I could take with me into the ocean, but no one had it, and it was 100 dollars more anway. Not to mention it was huge. I just hope I don't destroy this one by tomorrow. :D

Other things: I used a bit of my leftover grant money to buy an external hard-drive. I think it's a school related purchase, seeing as I need to carry my laptop to school and therefore need a safer place to store my important data. I got a Western Digital My Book. 1 TB. The 500GB one was 10$ cheaper so I figured wth, you get twice as much storage space for such a little difference. I lso bought a laptop charger and a thumb drive with leftover grant money. NOTE TO BUDGET WARY PEOPLE: Don't let anything ever happen to your laptop charger. You will pay out the nose for a new one. OMG.

I hate spending money. Even if that's what the money is for, spendig large amounts of it makes me nervous. I probably have a complex or something.

but fuck it. homework's done, clothes are washed. it's nice outside.
